Abstract Palaces

Why I Don't Want Success 9.24.2002

I just remembered why I don't want to be madly successfull in the software industry. If you become successfull, you become an expert at building »abstract palaces for an »evil multinational corporation or an »exciting, successful startup. Of course, there's always a point of »True Balance(tm).

I haven't decided yet which is the worse choice: writing software for the rest of my life, or writing about Kafka for the rest of my life. We'll see.
