Copy Shop
(October 8, 2003)
»Copy Shop is a great Kafka-esque film on the nature of recursion and copies. Interestingly, the film, which features a runaway copy machine, was created using only a camera and a copy machine. Each frame was carefully copied to create the special effects. No digital editing, unless you count a copy machine as digital. The Copy Shop website has split up the film into segments (real smart for a movie about the continuity of recursion, but I digress). You can watch the whole thing online at »Channel4's page on Copy Shop. (first heard about this on »Memepool. Here's a link to »memepool's blurb about copy shop.)
